Sonora Medical Systems has forged a partnership with Front Range Community College (FRCC) and the Colorado Community College System that enables Sonora to award college credit for its classes.

Sonora, a supplier of after market products, training, services, and test equipment to the medical imaging market, will now award college credit for students who attend an ultrasound training course at its main campus in Longmont, Colo. Over the last 4 years Sonora has trained more than 200 biomedical and clinical engineers at the campus.

Upon completion of any ultrasound course, students will now receive transfer credits that can be applied toward continuing education credits, a college degree, and ultrasound service qualification. In cooperation with FRCC, Sonora can also award an ultrasound service certificate to all students who complete the Basic Ultrasound Service Course along with two of Sonora’s Advanced Ultrasound Service Courses.
