Siemens Healthineers, based in Malvern, Pa., has launched teamplay Cardio, a new cardiology dashboard application within the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem. Part of teamplay—the company’s cloud-based network that enables access to metrics from a facility’s imaging fleet—this new application helps cardiology departments better understand their performance and status. The app uses actionable data to help identify precise starting points for planning and allocating resources to improve patient flow and physician efficiency.
Intuitively designed, the teamplay Cardio dashboard application analyzes and navigates near-real-time key performance indicators (KPIs) in the cardiology department through a user-friendly interface. The application collects, combines, processes, and harmonizes data from both DICOM and non-DICOM sources to provide a comprehensive cross-source look at the department’s performance, resources, and status. The dashboard app enables the user to see exam volumes over time and utilizes data to run customized reports. With this information, users can monitor areas of improvement and calculate trends over time, such as staff allocation, room utilization, and patient flow. Because the teamplay Cardio application is cloud and web-based, minimal effort is needed for deployment.
“The teamplay Cardio dashboard application uniquely allows Siemens Healthineers customers to proactively monitor areas that need improvement in their cardiology departments’ workflows and learn from their own best practices,” says Arthur Kaindl, general manager of digital health services at Siemens Healthineers. “In leveraging digital technologies such as teamplay Cardio, we can help customers transform their delivery of care to ultimately cultivate better experiences for their patients.”
