Philips plans to unveil its next-generation, large-bore PET/CT as a work-in-progress at the annual meeting of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) held this week.

The new system is based on the company’s Gemini TF PET/CT, with time-of-flight technology and Brilliance CT big-bore systems. By integrating PET, CT, and radiation oncology capabilities in a single system, the product provides the positioning accuracy and flexibility, and workflow synchronization needed in radiation oncology.

The ASTRO meeting is planned for Oct 28 to November 1, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. For more information, visit www.astro.org.
