The campaign for Siemens Medical Solutions, Malvern, Pa "Win an MRI" contest has closed, and online voters will now choose which competing health care facility wins the prize: the company’s $800,000 Magnetom Essenza.

The contest affords rural and community hospitals (with fewer than 180 beds who do not have fixed MRI services) a chance to win the free magnetic resonance imaging system. Votes may be cast by logging on to  by Dec 31, 2007.

More than 100 health care facilities nationwide posted creative, humorous, or emotionally compelling videos on the campaign Web site.

The product, which was introduced in October 2007, was developed for the small hospital market to help provide improved imaging services in neurology, orthopedics, body imaging, angiography, cardiology, breast imaging, oncology, and pediatric imaging.

The winner will be announced in January 2008.
