According to a newly released report from Technology Business Research, spending on information technology by North American healthcare organizations is expected to exceed $34.5 billion next year. The report also shows how the average budget—approximately $12 million at providers and approximately $18 million at payors—will be allocated across workloads, such as electronic health records (EHRs) and electronic medical records (EMRs), claims management, and call centers.
The SourceIT Healthcare Report data is based on surveys of 225 IT decision-makers across the C-Suite and line-of-business managers at payors and providers, as well as 25 in-depth interviews. For more information, visit the Technology Business Research website.
