After releasing a new interface, Covidien‘s INVOS cerebral oximetry system is now compatible with the Nuvon system, which integrates patient data from medical devices to electronic medical record systems. The INVOS system, which can be used with both infants and adults, measures blood oxygen saturation in the brain and in other tissue beneath the sensor.
INVOS is the latest in a line of Covidien products that are compatible with Nuvon. Others include:
- Nellcor N-600x pulse oximeter, which continuously monitors oxygen saturation and pulse rate in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
- Oridion Capnostream 20 patient monitor, a bedside capnography monitor for all hospital settings and patient types
- BIS Vista brain monitoring system, for use during surgery
- Puritan Bennett 840 ventilator
