OiService CT & MR, a service division of Oxford Instruments that specializes in providing after-market GE CT and MR scanners, has received approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA) to import and market its refurbished GE CT and MR equipment and parts to South Korea.

“Receiving certification from the KFDA is an important achievement for our company, as it provides us with a secure gateway to introduce our high-quality refurbished equipment throughout the region,” said Robert Costa, director of global sales at OiService CT & MR.

Steve Hong, CEO and owner of GMR Co, a local distributor that holds an exclusive agreement to support the company with these efforts in South Korea will join the OiService CT & MR team.

“Korea has strict guidelines for importing refurbished medical equipment,” said Jeff Fall, president at OiService CT & MR. “Therefore, in earning this approval, customers within Korea can be confident that the products that they purchase are controlled within a certified quality management system that is based on our mission to enhance customer satisfaction by helping to make secure investments in refurbished medical devices.”
