Konica Minolta Medical Imaging Americas, Wayne, NJ, announced that the company achieved record sales growth for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2015, led by sales of its digital radiography family of Primary Imaging Solutions. Konica reports that success of the wireless Konica Minolta AeroDR panel fueled company growth to double digit sales figures, which exceeded expectations.

The company’s Primary Imaging Solutions include digital radiography, ultrasound, information technology, and services, all of which are designed to help customers improve value, clinical confidence, and worry-free operation, according to the company. The AeroDR family of digital radiography solutions includes the AeroDR XE, a wireless flat panel detector that is engineered for extreme environments to address the needs of the market.

According to David Widmann, president and COO at Konica Minolta Medical Imaging, the healthcare market now places added emphasis on point-of-care tools that help clinicians make more informed patient care decisions, and these early decisions can help reduce healthcare costs by providing the necessary information that could rule in or rule out disease or injury. Widmann added that primary imaging encompasses 70% of diagnostic imaging procedures; Konica Minolta’s business focuses solely on primary imaging.
