I have three machines to choose from: A Philips HD9 and HD11, as well as a GE Voluson. I know that the HD9 is mainly for OB/Gyn imaging. On what basis shall I choose between the three? –

There are a lot of factors to consider. Will you be doing a lot of 3D imaging? If so, the Voluson is the better system. Otherwise, I would choose on budget. The HD11 is a little higher end unit but is also more expensive, so you have to balance marginal image quality improvements with overall price.
