CancerCare of Maine (CCOM), Brewer, Me, operated by Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC), recently selected the Versus Advantages solution from Versus Technology for its new, state-of-the-art facility.
The system utilizes locating badges that patients and staff wear to track location, which is then communicated through the Versus sensory network. The RTLS integrates with other communication mediums, such as digital phones and nurse call systems, to automatically communicate information relating to patient care progression, room availability, or current patient-to-staff ratios.
CCOM can also use the system to maximize hospital staff efficiency. Staff can use the system to see which set of rooms or patients they are responsible for each day, while supervisors can capture key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor staff time with patients, as well as treatment and wait times.
Additionally, EMMC is utilizing the Versus sensory network for patient flow, automation, and volume management at its new imaging center, and to automate the GE Healthcare Telligence nurse call system at its main hospital.
