Skytron, Grand Rapids, Mich, and Clinical Engineering Consultants, Erlanger, Ky, have jointly launched the Helios Technology Management service, which offers medical technology management solutions for hospitals nationwide.
Already in use in luminary sites in the Midwest, the service maintains biomedical, clinical lab, and diagnostic equipment and performs high-level management functions such as asset management and capital acquisition decisions. It focuses on minimizing life-cycle costs, reducing capital equipment expenses, and decreasing workflow interruptions by teaming with clients to integrate co-created solutions with existing programs and resources.
Helios will be supported by CEC’s proprietary software BeamWorks, a capital management suite.
