Ranked this year at 1,883, US Med-Equip improved its 2011 Inc. ranking by 156 spots. US Med-Equip works with more than 700 hospital customers and has sustained a three-year, 146% sales growth. The company is one of few medical equipment providers for hospitals on the Inc. 5,000 list, which ranks nearly 400 companies in the health sector at a time when the industry anticipates long-term growth and job development opportunities.
The company attributes its growth to providing smart technological options and 24/7 personalized customer service to hospitals and health care facilities that rent or purchase its medical equipment. According to the company, one way it sets itself apart from its competitors is by offering equity discounts to clients who might eventually want to purchase the rented equipment.
In 2012, US Med-Equip increased its employee base by 21% to 85 employees. The company has 12 offices in five states and is also listed on the Houston Business Journal’s list of the city’s fastest growing companies.
