The Oregon Biomedical Association’s statewide conference on November 8th will feature a number of well-known speakers. Dennis Minsent, director of clinical technology services for the Oregon Health & Science University, and a member of 24×7’s editorial advisory board, will discuss the history of the clinical engineering field. Patrick Lynch, Biomedical Support Specialist for GMI (Global Medical Imaging), Charlotte, NC, will talk about hospital politics and IT training. Todd Boyland, senior vice president of the Radiological Service Training Institute, Solon, OH, will lead a tutorial on x-ray systems. Additional speakers will be announced. The OBA conference and exhibitor exposition will be held at the Holiday Inn Portland South from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm in Wilsonville, Ore.
