As part of its annual “Excellence in Best Practices Awards,” market research firm Frost & Sullivan has singled out GE Healthcare for excellence in radiology informatics. In naming it the 2013 North American Company of the Year in the field, Frost & Sullivan highlighted GE’s significant research and development investments, which resulted in the launch of two new products in 2012, its Universal Viewer and Centricity Clinical Archive solutions. The Frost & Sullivan awards are presented each year to companies that are predicted to encourage significant growth in their industries, have identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace and have created advanced technologies that will help transform industries in the near future.
