David Jaimovich, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer at Joint Commission Resources (JCR), a not-for-profit affiliate of the Joint Commission.

Jaimovich will provide physician oversight of Joint Commission International Accreditation and JCR domestic projects, and will oversee the development of quality and performance improvement programs as well as patient safety initiatives.

He is a board certified pediatric specialist and most recently served as chief of Pediatric Intensive Care and medical director of the transport program at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill. Jaimovich is an associate professor of clinical pediatrics at the University of Illinois.
