Stanley Healthcare Solutions and GetWellNetwork Inc have unified Stanley Healthcare’s real-time location system (RTLS) with GetWellNetwork’s Interactive Patient Care solution.

The combined solution helps health care organizations keep patients and their families informed and secure by identifying caregivers that enter patient rooms and tracking when they visited. The integration has been successfully deployed at Florida Hospital Wesley Chapel.

GetWellNetwork provides patient engagement solutions that help health care providers engage, educate, and empower patients along the care continuum. Its patient-centered platform uses mobile devices, computers, and televisions to enable providers to implement an Interactive Patient Care delivery model that improves performance and patient outcomes.

Through its recent acquisition of AeroScout, Stanley Healthcare provides Wi-Fi RTLS—solutions for tracking the real-time location, status, and condition of health care assets, staff, and patients via standard Wi-Fi networks.

With this integration, when a clinician that is being tracked enters a patient room, the clinician’s photo, name, and role are displayed on a video monitor running the Interactive Patient Care solution, making it easy for the patient and family to know who is in the room and to verify the identity and function of the caregiver. The information is also recorded so that the patient’s family can look back to see when caregivers visited.
