On July 10, the American College of Clinical Engineers will offer the final installment of its 10 monthly teleconferences for the 2013-’14 time period. The topic of the session will be the “Hybrid Operating Room: Emerging Technology.”
According to the ACCE, the hybrid operating room exemplifies current trends in clinical practices that exploit medical technology to deliver optimum patient care. The hybrid OR offers a common platform for an interdisciplinary and multifunctional team of physicians to perform minimally invasive, image- or catheter-guided procedures in a collaborative diagnostic and operative environment. The teleconference session will discuss the medical equipment implications of the hybrid OR.
