Do you have the next great idea? Hill-Rom and Edison Nation Medical are calling for ideas that can reduce the number of patient infections in a nationwide invention contest.

The companies are asking both healthcare professionals and the general public to submit ideas through Edison Nation Medical’s entry portal through November 18. The ideas can be for completely new products or for improvements of existing products.

While medical invention ideas may focus on specific areas, such as reducing the spread of infection or instrument sterilization and monitoring, the companies encourage inventors to think as broadly as possible.

Edison Nation Medical will design, develop, and license the most promising ideas, splitting royalties with the inventor(s). Hill-Rom will work with Edison Nation Medical to commercialize the concepts and review the remaining ideas for its own internal product development efforts.
