The Service Industry Association (SIA), a nonprofit association composed of senior level executives who support high technology products in the marketplace, has announced the election of Peter Brooks to its board of directors.
Brooks, a senior director at Geisinger Health System, and president and CEO of Geisinger’s subsidiary ISS Solutions, brings health care and information technology experience to the 12-person SIA board.
“As the executive of ISS Solutions, a clinical engineering and information technology service company, he brings a unique viewpoint to SIA, particularly in light of the continuing convergence of IT and clinical engineering in the health care industry,” said SIA Executive Director Claudia Betzner.”
Brooks started his career as an engineer and entrepreneur, forming a consulting and technical software company that was later sold to ANSYS.
