Capsule Tech Inc has announced that its DataCaptor software was named 2014 Category Leader for medical device integration systems, according to the annual “Best in KLAS Awards: Software & Services” report. According to Capsule Tech, the DataCaptor software enables hospitals to effectively integrate medical device data into their electronic medical record systems and other enterprise applications.

Capsule Tech recently introduced SmartLinx, a medical device information system, to DataCaptor. The company reports that SmartLinx enables applications for patient surveillance, alarms and alerts, tracking and device performance, and clinical decision support in both the acute and non-acute settings.
According to the KLAS website, the Best in KLAS rankings celebrate vendors that receive the highest provider scores for software, professional services, and medical equipment.
