Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Boston has purchased four CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution automated digital radiography suites from Carestream Health, for use in its ambulatory care and outpatient facilities.
The DRX-Evolution system can perform a wide variety of general radiology and trauma x-ray exams, with features such as autopositioning and a slim DRX-1 detector, which can be removed from the wall stand or table to handle cross table and other difficult imaging studies. Digital images are communicated over a secure wireless network and appear on the system console in seconds.
More information on other medical imaging and healthcare IT solutions from Carestream Health—such as RIS/PACS, laser imaging systems, and a portfolio of cloud-based, fee-for-use eHealth services—can be found online.
Brigham and Women’s Hospital is a 793-bed teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School and a top-ranked hospital by U.S. News and World Report.
