The MyLab Gamma ultrasound system from Esaote, Indianapolis, Ind, is a portable, battery-operated unit with fast boot-up time, rapid resume from standby mode, and wireless connectivity to permit networking with other systems. A touch screen-based interface provides intuitive steps for set-up and image capture, enabling faster workflow.

The widescreen monitor rotates ±90 degrees for increased comfort and to facilitate image sharing with a colleague, while the cooling system functions quietly for reduced operator disturbance.

The system provides two transducer connectors for two probe connections. An optional multi-connector is available for connecting up to four transducers, which can be selected via the software interface. The system comes with remote service capabilities and can be recovered in the shortest time possible by connecting it to the network.
