With the introduction of its Dose Tracking System (DTS), Toshiba America Medical Systems says, measuring peak radiation skin dose during interventional procedures is achievable, helping to make exams safer for patients. Toshiba is introducing enhancements to DTS for its entire Infinix product line, including the Elite, Select, and Essential cardiovascular X-ray systems.
DTS now offers expanded bi-plane (frontal and lateral) coverage, increasing system utilization for neurovascular and congenital cardiology cases. The new version of DTS features specific patient head models that expand the ability to provide peak skin dose estimates to neurovascular procedures. An enhanced ability to track tilt and cradle movement of the table allows for additional expansion of capabilities in peak skin dose estimates. These new features help clinicians track and measure peak skin dose and help provide safer cardiovascular X-ray exams.
Toshiba will showcase DTS in Booth 7333, North Hall, at the upcoming RSNA annual meeting in Chicago.
