At the 100th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Royal Philips announced that it has expanded its healthcare informatics with IntelliSpace Portal 7.0. According to Philips, the latest version of its IntelliSpace Portal offers radiologists a more integrated view of each patient moving along the health continuum, because it has the ability to create faster pathways to definitive diagnosis through advanced analytics, visualization, and data sharing across multiple systems and imaging scan types.

According to the report, Jeroen Tas, CEO of Healthcare Informatics Solutions and Services at Philips, says that diagnosing a patient can often take multiple scans and requires a collaborative review of imaging results and surrounding data. Tas reports that the IntelliSpace Portal 7.0, which is connected to the Philips Healthsuite Digital Platform, advances health care informatics by integrating data from multiple imaging systems, enabling radiologists to put their patients on a faster path to treatment.

The Philips IntelliSpace Portal 7.0 is a single platform that connects radiologists and referring physicians across clinical domains, integrating with multiple modalities and hospital information systems (HIS), picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), and radiology information systems (RIS). IntelliSpace Portal Enterprise, the multi-site companion to the IntelliSpace Portal, connects multiple hospitals and allows clinicians at different sites to access the same applications. The enterprise solution is reportedly designed to grow as a hospital network grows.

IntelliSpace Portal 7.0 has clinical applications that cover cardiology, vascular, oncology, and neurology, among others. IntelliSpace Portal 7.0 is an advancement on the technology of IntelliSpace Portal 6, which was named the Category Leader in Enterprise Advanced Visualization Software in the 2013 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report.

Philips is featuring the IntelliSpace Portal 7.0 and its suite of informatics solutions in booth #6742 at the Radiological Society of North America Annual Meeting (RSNA), November 30th through December 5th in Chicago, Ill.
