The cloud-native solution aims to enable providers to easily access patient health history, streamline operations, and personalize treatment.
Intelerad has announced the launch of the next generation of InteleHeart, a reimagined, all-in-one cardiology platform designed to unify viewing, reporting, analytics, and workflow orchestration. The system aims to provide clinicians with a complete view of a patient’s cardiac health by bringing together fragmented data systems.
Cardiology departments often operate with multiple siloed systems, requiring clinicians to switch between platforms to access patient data, imaging studies, and reports. This practice can lead to workflow delays, increased risk of errors, and staff burnout from repetitive manual data entry. The InteleHeart platform addresses these issues by consolidating all cardiovascular information, giving care teams access to a patient’s full cardiovascular health history and relevant prior data in one location.
Beyond the clinical workflow, the platform is designed to address financial and operational strains on health systems, such as redundant software licenses and administrative burdens. By consolidating systems, the solution can help reduce IT infrastructure costs and free up staff time for patient care. In departments like the cardiac catheterization laboratory, these efficiencies can improve resource utilization and reduce wait times.
“InteleHeart represents a significant turning point for cardiology care and workflow management,” says Morris Panner, president of Intelerad, in a release. “By removing the barriers that exist today, we help clinicians see the whole picture, so they spend less time chasing information to make decisions. The results include faster turnaround times, more personalized treatment, stronger collaboration across provider teams, and measurable cost savings that allow organizations to reinvest in better care.”
Enhanced Solution
Piedmont Healthcare, a not-for-profit health system, is a long-standing partner of Intelerad. Venkateshwar Polsani, MD, a cardiologist at Piedmont, notes that the platform’s focus on efficiency, patient-centered care, and innovation align with the health system’s needs.
“Efficiency is critical in cardiology, and we’re excited to have InteleHeart save our physicians valuable time by seamlessly integrating with other solutions to consolidate cardiac imaging, reporting, and workflows into a single platform. The solution’s highly performant viewer helps us to remain both efficient and at the forefront of cardiovascular care,” says Polsani, in a release. “And as an institution dedicated to providing timely access to quality health care, we value how InteleHeart provides us with a wide and deep view into the patient health history.”
The platform is built to serve multiple healthcare environments, including enterprise health systems requiring broad patient data access, imaging centers focused on collaboration, and research institutions needing standardized structured reporting across specialties.
