Access Battery, the manufacturing division of Alpha Source Inc, Milwaukee, Wis, has received a nomination for the 2012 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Award (MOTY).
The award recognizes a diverse group of manufacturers for their economic contribution to Wisconsin. This is the second year Alpha Source, a multi-vendor medical equipment parts distributor and battery pack manufacturer for the health care and technical markets, has been nominated for the award.
The 58 companies nominated for the award represent an assortment of Wisconsin manufacturers of all sizes and industries. To qualify for the recognition, a thorough assessment of each nominee’s past, present, and future contributions to Wisconsin’s economy are evaluated.
An independent panel of judges representing the industrial, education, and public sector chose five Grand Award winners and three Special Awards winners.
Norine Carlson-Weber, president of Alpha Source, said, “Although we did not win the Grand or Special Awards, it is an honor to be recognized by the MOTY program for our contribution to Wisconsin’s economy. As a local manufacturer, we do our best to utilize resources in Wisconsin and to create jobs in Wisconsin.”
This is the 25th anniversary of the Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year Awards.
