OKI Data Corporation has announced that at this year’s European Society of Radiology Annual Congress (ECR 2015) it will be demonstrating four DICOM printers developed specifically for medical imaging. All four printers feature fully embedded DICOM print servers and integrate OKI’s LED color printing technology. The models to be showcased include the C610 DM, C711 DM, C831 DM, and C910 DM.
“OKI printing solutions are known for their media flexibility, high quality output, reliability, ease of use, and low total cost of ownership,” said Patrick Rabel, director of the Medical Solution Department for OKI Data Corporation. “Our four DICOM color printers are no exception. We are pleased to introduce them at this year’s ECR show and demonstrate the ways in which they can integrate with clinical imaging systems to meet both DICOM and a range of office printing needs.”
This suite of printers handles A4 (letter) and A3 (tabloid) size media to produce non-diagnostic x-rays, nuclear medicine scans, and ultrasounds with good image interpretation and integrity, reports the company. The printers deliver high-quality, cost-effective color or monochrome output without the need for conversion software or external hardware.
According to the OKI website, the C610 DM can “talk” directly with medical imaging equipment to print images on a wide range of media, and also can fulfill day-to-day standard A4 office printing needs from patient letters and forms to medical reports. These features allow facilities to choose one printing machine to serve all the needs of the organization, says the company.
