Axiomtek has announced the availability of the MPC175-873, a 17-inch fanless medical panel computer for medical image processing and medical measuring instrument applications. The company is marketing the PC as a point-of-patient-care EMR computer.
Specifically designed for the medical environment, the panel PC has IPX1-compliant chassis. The front panel is rated to IP65/NEMA 4 for spill- and dust-resistance. In addition, the PC is equipped with isolated COM/USB/LAN ports to protect equipment from electrical surges and transient voltage spikes.
The PC offers two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, one COM port (RS-232/422/485), two Gigabit Ethernet ports, and DisplayPort. Storage interfaces include one 2.5 inch SATA drive bay and optional mSATA SSD. The MPC175-873 supports external 24 VDC with an AC/DC medical-grade power adapter.
