Miami-based Baptist Health South Florida recently purchased a RadPro2 Omnera 400T manual-positioning digital radiography (DR) system from Virtual Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A. The technology will be in use at the hospital system’s new outpatient facility in Pinecrest.
The health system was in pursuit of a DR system for its Pinecrest facility that could streamline workflows, while being able to work with a partner that delivers high-quality customer service. Built with aircraft aluminum, the RadPro2 Omnera 400T platform helps the Pinecrest facility serve its high-volume hospital imaging departments, such as trauma and radiography. Further, its lightweight design helps make technologists’ jobs easier.
“In selecting this imaging solution from Virtual Imaging, we’re confident it will help streamline workflows and assist our healthcare professionals in delivering efficient care to our patients,” says Jonathan Pomazon, director of orthopedic practice operations for Baptist Health Medical Group.
Tsuneo Imai, vice president and general manager of the healthcare solutions division within the business imaging systems group at Canon U.S.A. and president of Virtual Imaging, adds: “Digital radiography technology can allow for fast and easy positioning, helping to minimize the amount of stress placed on injured patients.”
