Konica Minolta Medical Imaging has announced the new Sigma II CS-7s computed radiography (CR) system, which is designed to provide enterprise-level imaging to community hospitals, clinics, and private practices. The platform is intended to provide flexibility so that facilities can choose whether to continue using CR technology or upgrade to digital radiography (DR).

The company reports that the Sigma II CS-7s uses the same control station as the Konica Minolta AeroDR wireless flat panel detector and offers a low-cost upgrade path from CR to DR. The Sigma II CS-7s CR system is said to provide fast patient imaging to help improve workflow, reliability, with the capacity to help maximize patient outcomes, productivity, and return on investment.

Designed to be easy to use, the CS-7s control station enables users to consistently attain good image quality with Konica Minolta’s Hybrid Premium Imaging Processing Algorithm, the company says. Standard features such as modality worklist, multi-patient/trauma software, and web-link capabilities help improve workflow. The Sigma II CS-7s CR system includes the Regius Sigma II reader, the CS-7s control station, and two 14- x 17-inch plates.
