RAM Technologies, a leading manufacturer of power supplies for PC-based medical devices, announced their new PFC650SFX power supply.

“Medical device engineers are always looking for ways to reduce the size of their products,” says Greg Tuers, president of RAM Technologies. “Our new 650-watt power supply is in the compact SFX while still meeting 60601-1 safety standards for medical devices.”

The power supply complies with a range of safety approvals, including EN 60601-1 3.2, EN61000, and EN55011. It meets 2 x MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) and is ATX 3.0 compliant.

The supply comes with choice of outputs, including the 12VHPWR PCIe 5.0 connector for high-end medical imaging applications.

The PFC650SFX features RAM’s unique MultiLoop Technology and utilizes the latest silicon carbide (SiC) technology. It has over 500,000 hours MTBF and over eight years of expected life.

The PFC650SXF is made in the U.S. and is pending UL approval. It is available direct from the factory.
