The ISO-certified facility provides multi-brand ultrasound support and replacement parts to distributors in more than 140 countries.
Guangzhou Rongtao Medical Technology Co Ltd (Rongtao Medical) is expanding its support for medical imaging equipment through its technical and warehousing center in Guangzhou, China, providing ultrasound repair, probe solutions, and tested replacement parts to distributors in more than 140 countries.
The company operates a 3,000-square-meter facility and maintains an inventory of hundreds of ultrasound systems and more than 3,000 parts across major brands. These brands include GE Healthcare, Philips, Siemens, Hitachi, Mindray, Samsung Medison, Toshiba (Canon), Aloka, and Biosound Esaote.
Standardized Quality Control and Testing
As part of its quality-control process, Rongtao Medical performs 48-hour real-machine testing on all repaired boards before shipment. The facility is ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 certified and employs more than 35 senior engineers. Standard turnaround for repairs is five to eight business days, with shipping handled by DHL, FedEx, or UPS, according to a release from the company.
“For distributors, downtime on an ultrasound system means lost hospital revenue and pressure on the service contract,” says Frank Zhu, general manager of Rongtao Medical, in a release. “Partners want one vendor who can handle any OEM board on the bench, deliver predictable turnaround, and prove the work before the customer asks.”
Documented Repair Archives
The company also updated its public case archive, which features more than 15 documented repair cases including photographs and videos. These entries provide details on the model, symptoms, and repair routes for systems such as GE Voluson, Philips EPIQ, Siemens Acuson, Hitachi ARIETTA, and Mindray DC series.
According to the company, deep component reserves allow the technical team to resolve common faults without third-party sourcing. Representative work includes repairs for RF modules, acquisition boards, receive beamformers, power-supply assemblies, and control panels.
A redesigned website allows biomedical service teams to search inventory by manufacturer part number or request quotes with board photos and symptom details. The site replaces several legacy domains to consolidate the company’s online presence.
