The move offers hospitals a new procurement and deployment channel for SaaS-based imaging software designed to improve workflow and data access.
GE HealthCare has made its Genesis portfolio of cloud-enabled, software as a service (SaaS) solutions for enterprise imaging available in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace. The move provides a new way for hospitals and health systems to find, test, and deploy the software suite.
The initial offerings in the digital catalog include Genesis Storage, Genesis VNA, and True PACS SaaS. According to the company, making these solutions available through AWS Marketplace is intended to simplify the adoption process for healthcare providers. The Genesis portfolio is designed to streamline workflows, facilitate interoperability through centralized patient data storage, and support secure, scalable deployment in the cloud for both IT and clinical teams.
“We are committed to delivering enterprise imaging solutions with our cloud strategy. Our Genesis portfolio can help improve patient care through accessible, sharable, and secure patient data while simultaneously improving clinical and operational efficiencies. Now, with its availability in AWS Marketplace, we are providing more ways for our customers to adopt these next-generation solutions so they can accelerate their digital transformation,” says Scott Miller, CEO of solutions for enterprise imaging at GE HealthCare, in a release.
The Genesis portfolio is built on the AWS platform. GE HealthCare notes that AWS has been its strategic cloud partner for nearly 10 years and supports its goal to triple its cloud-enabled offerings by 2028.
