Healthcare systems integrator Summit Healthcare has announced that Secure Exchange Solutions (SES) will act as its health information service provider (HISP). SES Connect is a scalable technology for the secure exchange of healthcare information. It is designed to provide hospitals the ability to communicate securely with any community physician, patient, long-term care facility, pharmacy, or lab using a standardized system that allows users to leverage their existing IT investments. SES Connect will be an integrated component of the Summit Care Exchange technology platform.
According to Summit, with the integration of SES Connect into its Care Exchange system, hospitals will positioned to communicate with in-network or out-of-network healthcare providers by means of direct interoperability with other electronic health records (EHRs), health information exchanges (HIEs) and HISPs.
