Joint Commission Resources Inc has released a new video detailing how technology-based critical test result management (CTRM) can help hospitals meet The Joint Commission’s National Patient Safety Goals for improving communication among caregivers.
The 30-minute video, “Patient Safety on the Line: Using Technology to Aid Communication Among Caregivers,” was supported by an unrestricted grant from Vocada, Inc. The video explains how CTRM is a strategic pathway to both greater patient safety and more efficiency and draws on the experiences of two Vocada customers to show how they use Veriphy for CTRM under real-world conditions.
The program is available for purchase from JCR also includes a two-part coordinator’s guide. The second part provides a step-by-step process for implementing technology-based CTRM, such as Vocada’s Veriphy solution.
Diagnostic departments can use CTRM, a technology-based strategy, to automate and ensure the efficient and timely delivery of critical test results and values directly to the responsible clinical staff.
