Through a recent agreement with the ECRI Institute, MedApproved, Hudson, Ohio, will now incorporate data from ECRI into into its web-based product evaluation system. ECRI’s clinical, cost, reimbursement, and safety data will be added to product-request workflows for surgical supplies and physician preference items, including implants.
The MedApproved system is a web-based tool that helps value analysis committees at its client hospitals enhance the structure of their workflow and collaborate on product decisions. ECRI Institute will make its published data fully accessible for members of MedApproved. They will also have the opportunity to request custom, product-specific research.
