NEC Display Solutions of America has announced FDA 510(k) market clearance of its MultiSync MD322C8 LCD radiology monitor. NEC reports that the 32-inch MD322C8 is an 8-megapixel, ultra high-definition review monitor that features four times the resolution of full HD. The monitor is calibrated at the factory to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance.
“The MD322C8 display is a high-resolution color clinical display that delivers stellar picture quality,” said Art Marshall, product manager for professional desktop and medical displays at NEC Display Solutions. “It gives medical imaging professionals a tool that enhances accuracy and productivity.”
According to NEC, the MD322C8 display is designed for calibrated, stable brightness; color accuracy; and high pixel density. It includes an open pluggable specification (OPS)-compliant option slot, which is compatible with NEC-provided 3G/HD/SDI input cards for connection to live video streams, intended to give institutions flexibility in installations and future-proofing their investments.
The MultiSync MD322C8 display is available at a minimum advertised price of $6,399 and ships with a five-year limited parts and labor warranty, including advanced overnight exchange. Details on optional accessories can be found on the NEC Display Solutions of America website.
