Attendees at the Florida Biomedical Society annual meeting earlier this month offered favorable opinions of this year’s event. Held October 31 to November 3 in Lake Buena Vista, Fla, the meeting comprised educational sessions, a vendor exposition, and the society’s second annual Biomed Forum. More than 430 biomedical professionals and 70 vendors took part in the event.

Special annual honors were given to independent service organization AIV, Harman, MD, as an outstanding vendor and to Florida BMETs of the Year Eric Bird and Andrea Moe. In addition, the society awarded three memorial scholarships to students Timothy Kussmaul, Taylor Lee, and David Vito.
