AAMI is accepting nominations until December 20 for several key leadership positions on its board of directors and nominating committee.
AAMI will consider nominees for chair-elect of the board and vice chair of industry, as well as two seats on the board’s nominating committee. The chair-elect will serve a two-year term, and all others will serve a three-year term.
AAMI is also seeking nominations for other positions, such as treasurer and director, in case other vacancies become available. For instance, if someone who is currently a director applies for one of the open positions and is selected, then his or her previous position would become available.
Interested individuals should be able to demonstrate a depth of experience and dedication to AAMI, according to Steve Campbell, the association’s COO.
“Most board members have served as chair of one or more major AAMI committees and have made significant contributions of their time and personal resources,” Campbell said. “Committee participation not only shows a commitment to the organization, but it also provides an opportunity to hone the effective leadership skills needed to serve on the AAMI Board.”
Potential nominees should submit a recent curriculum vitae, a statement outlining their qualifications, and a completed leadership nomination form to Campbell at [email protected] or send them to his attention at AAMI, 4301 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 301, Arlington, VA 22203. The deadline is December 20.
The nominating committee will meet in late January to review all submitted documents and make recommendations.
