The American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE) has announced the results of the 2025 Advisory Board election. Newly Elected Members

Seven individuals, five of whom have previously served on the ASHE Advisory Board, will begin their terms on Jan. 1, 2025.

2025 President-Elect

Dennis Ford, MHA, CHFM, CHC, FASHE, is the 2025 ASHE president-elect. Ford is the director of corporate facilities management support for Atrium Health in Charlotte, N.C., and is currently serving his second consecutive term on the ASHE Advisory Board as Region 3 Representative. He has more than 25 years of healthcare facilities management experience, including six years in the U.S. Air Force.

Associate Member Representatives

Mark Mochel, MBA, CHFM, PMP, ACABE, strategic account executive for Brightly, a Siemens Company, in Grand Rapids, Mich., will serve as one of two associate member representatives beginning in 2025. Mochel was a co-founder and senior vice president at Facility Health Inc., where he introduced new infrastructure investment solutions to the healthcare industry.

Regional Representatives

The entire eligible ASHE membership votes on president-elect and associate member representative candidates. In addition, members vote on regional representatives, who serve their specific geographic region. The following individuals are the new ASHE Advisory Board regional representatives:

  • Region 4 Representative: Lotoya Beard, MBA, CHFM, executive director of hospital maintenance for UAB Hospital at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
  • Region 5 Representative: Donald Page, MBA, CHFM, director of facilities at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Ind.
  • Region 9 Representative: Narsimha Irrinki, MS, PE, CHFM, SASHE, enterprise director of facilities at Santa Clara Valley Health in San Jose, Calif.

Advisory Board Election Process

ASHE Advisory Board elections are held annually and are open to all ASHE professional and associate members. Advisory Board regional representatives and two associate member candidates serve two-year terms; half of those seats are up for election each year on an alternating basis. Members also vote on a president-elect, who serves for one year in that role before assuming the title of president at the start of the following year.
