Rigel Medical plans to launch a new safety tester at the upcoming Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation Expo in June.

The Rigel 288 is designed to meet the requirements of the new IEC 62353 service test standard for electromedical equipment. The device is billed as a part of the next generation of biomedical electrical safety analyzers and is in line with IEC 60601.

It is a ergonomically designed handheld device that combines lightweight design and advance test technology with a range of special features such as low current earth testing, blue tooth connection, and a simple menu driven user interface. It is capable of automatic, semi-automatic, and fully manual electrical safety testing.
