The BRIDGE platform aims to replace fragmented, vendor-specific portals with a single hub where hospitals can receive security advisories relevant to the devices in their fleet.

MedSec, a cybersecurity firm focused on medical devices and healthcare technology, has launched BRIDGE, a centralized communication platform designed to connect medical device manufacturers (MDMs) and healthcare delivery organizations (HDOs) for more effective sharing of critical device security information. The platform debuted at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2026 conference in Las Vegas.

The platform aims to address a longstanding operational challenge in healthcare settings. Hospitals must currently navigate dozens—and often hundreds—of vendor-specific portals and websites to locate cybersecurity advisories, end-of-support notifications, and device documentation. That fragmented approach, according to MedSec, makes it difficult for healthcare organizations to manage security risks across their medical device fleets.

Through BRIDGE, MDMs can directly share vulnerability advisories, end-of-support notifications, manufacturer disclosure statements for medical device security (MDS2) forms, and other security updates with their customers. Hospitals, in turn, can self-identify the devices in their fleet, generating a personalized dashboard that surfaces only the security information relevant to their environment.

The platform’s “guided exchange” model is designed to ensure that security information is delivered to the right customers at the right time, helping healthcare organizations respond more quickly to cybersecurity risks.

The comapny says BRIDGE also offers a secondary benefit for manufacturers: improved visibility into their installed base. When hospitals identify devices in their fleet, manufacturers may become aware of customers they had not previously tracked, creating a more complete picture of product deployment beyond security management alone.

“Cybersecurity communication between manufacturers and healthcare providers has historically been fragmented and inefficient,” says Michelle Jump, chief executive officer at MedSec, in a release. “With BRIDGE, we’re creating a trusted, centralized platform that simplifies how critical security information is delivered, helping the entire healthcare ecosystem respond faster and manage risk more effectively.”

Industry Feedback Preceded the Launch

MedSec first introduced the BRIDGE concept as a prototype demonstration at the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation eXchange conference last year, where the company met with more than 40 healthcare systems and received what it described as strong industry support.

Hospital representatives who viewed the prototype offered pointed feedback that reinforced the need for a centralized approach. Reactions cited by MedSec included: “This solves a big challenge,” “It’s been a huge problem getting vulnerability advisories,” and “So I don’t have to go to their websites?”

Those responses, according to the company, validated both the platform’s concept and its user experience ahead of the full commercial launch.
