New features for the Axonius Asset Cloud aim to improve visibility and help organizations prioritize threats to connected devices.
Axonius announced new features for its asset intelligence platform designed to improve visibility into digital infrastructure and help security teams manage vulnerabilities. The updates to the Axonius Asset Cloud include tools for reconciling inventory data and extending monitoring to internet of things and operational technology devices.
The enhancements are intended to address discrepancies between automated tool reports and the actual state of an organization’s inventory.
“Every security and IT leader we speak to has the same story about their asset data: a tool says one thing and reality says another,” says Moshe Ben Simon, chief product officer at Axonius, in a release. “Our latest enhancements to the Axonius Asset Cloud are built to close that gap. We want to give security and IT teams the asset and exposure data they need to act with confidence in real time.”
Reconciling Inventory and Business Context
The update for Axonius Cyber Assets includes a new configuration management database reconciliation workspace. This feature identifies specific mismatches between platform data and configuration management database records, allowing practitioners to resolve errors without manual cross-referencing, according to the company.
Additionally, the platform now includes a Business Context capability that is generally available. This feature adds an organizational layer to asset records, including details on ownership, lifecycle stages, and management posture to help teams act on data with more certainty. Axonius also introduced a Verified Assets feature in early access to provide more precise counts of cyber assets.
Prioritizing Exposure and Software Risks
Updates to the Axonius Exposures solution focus on operationalizing threat management. A new Asset Aware Threat Intelligence Feed, scheduled for general availability in August 2026, will check newly identified vulnerabilities and threats against an organization’s specific environment to determine if they are affected.
The company also enhanced its Asset Criticality Management feature. This tool allows organizations to define the importance of various assets, ensuring that vulnerabilities found on systems holding sensitive data or running critical workloads are automatically prioritized over less vital systems, the company says.
For software management, Axonius Software Assets now includes a Software Version Rank feature. This tool ranks application versions from newest to oldest, allowing information technology teams to automatically identify any system running older versions that fall behind established standards.
Expanding to Physical and Medical Devices
Following its acquisition of Cynerio in 2025, Axonius is continuing to develop its cyber-physical assets solution. This component of the platform is designed to provide discovery and protection for internet of things and operational technology devices. The solution is currently being refined through collaboration with several large organizations and is expected to reach general availability in the second half of 2026, according to the press release.
Regarding current availability, Axonius states that Business Context, Asset Criticality Management, and Software Version Rank are currently available to customers. The Asset Aware Threat Intelligence Feed and Verified Assets features are expected to be generally available in August 2026.
