Premier health care alliance selected the Linet Multicare hospital bed for its third annual Innovation Celebration on June 14, which focused on innovation and performance improvement in health care. The bed is one of 18 medical innovations that was on display at the event, which showcased advances in health care while highlighting health care industry suppliers committed to innovation and improving patient outcomes.
The Linet Multicare bed includes features such as Platform Based Lateral Turn to assist nurses with repositioning of patients in bed with less effort; an automatic weighing system that captures and stores the patient weight in any position; Brake®, a braking system that is automatically activated preventing any unintended motion; Drive®, a fifth wheel which automatically engages during transport to make movement easier; and Mobi-Lift®, which assists with patient transfer and early patient ambulation for quicker recovery.
A committee of clinicians and other Premier alliance members selected the solution. Basic criteria for selection included solutions that displayed uniqueness, as well as those that have an impact on an unmet medical need.
