The partnership integrates Konica Minolta’s imaging IT platform with openDoctor’s scheduling and workflow tools to support self-scheduling and streamline appointment management across imaging services.

Konica Minolta Healthcare Americas and openDoctor have partnered to combine Konica Minolta’s imaging IT solutions with openDoctor’s scheduling and workflow tools, aiming to simplify self-scheduling and manage appointments across various imaging modalities.

The agreement further enhances the recently launched, next-generation Exa Platform with an open API, providing an integrated ecosystem featuring vendors to deliver a solution that meets the evolving needs of healthcare organizations. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, each partner excels in its respective field.

Combining Konica Minolta’s Exa PACS|RIS with openDoctor’s focus on patient engagement creates a solution designed to benefit healthcare providers and patients alike. openDoctor’s platform features tools designed to manage complex patient and referring appointment scheduling, streamline workflows, and enhance access for patients, referring providers, and imaging centers.

“openDoctor’s dedicated focus on patient engagement empowers us to develop solutions that are independent yet deeply integrative, fostering innovation untethered to any single system,” says Joe Marino, CEO of openDoctor, in a release. “By seamlessly connecting patients, referring providers, and imaging centers, we are driving collaboration and improving healthcare outcomes.”

Kevin Chlopecki, chief operating officer of Konica Minolta Healthcare HCIT, adds in a release, “At Konica Minolta, we recognize that true innovation happens when leaders in their respective fields come together to address specific healthcare challenges. Our partnership with openDoctor exemplifies our commitment to delivering best-in-class solutions that enhance both patient and provider experiences.”
