The Endoscopy Division of Fujifilm Medical Systems USA Inc presented its medical imaging devices for gastroenterology professionals at the Annual Scientific Meeting of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) held October 16-21, 2015, in Hawaii. Included in Fujifilm’s exhibit were its 600 series endoscopes with CMOS technology, EPX-4440HD digital video processor with FICE, and its Sonart ultrasound processor.

According to the company, its portfolio of products are designed to improve visualization to provide increased confidence during procedures. Featured at ACG, Fujifilm’s 600 series endoscopes with CMOS technology, including the EG-600WR and EC-600WL, are equipped with megapixel CMOS image sensor technology, providing high resolution imaging with video and still images.

Fujifilm’s EPX-4440HD with Flexible Spectral Imaging Color Enhancement (FICE) is an image processing technology which generates real-time spectral images from conventional white light images through the use of special processing algorithms. Available on the company’s VP-4440HD video processor, it enables users to apply image enhancement to emphasize the contrast to a white light endoscopy image.

The Sonart ultrasound processor and companion second-generation ultrasound video endoscopes are equipped with image processing technologies, known as ZONE sonography and Sound Speed Correction technology, that provide good diagnostic capabilities.
