Stanley Healthcare and BAM Labs have announced an agreement to integrate and distribute their patient safety technologies. As part of the agreement, Stanley Healthcare’s patient safety monitoring system will leverage BAM Labs’ noninvasive, under-mattress Touch-free Life Care (TLC) sensor pad to provide caregivers with trending information via PC or mobile device to help plan care and interventions.

The new system captures data including bed exit, position changes, sleep patterns, and vital signs trends. In a press release, Jason Santamaria, president of Stanley healthcare, said that the system gives care providers the “ability to monitor movement, sleep patterns and vital sign trending” with a “completely touch-free solution.” BAM Labs cofounder and CEO Richard Rifredi added that the BAM Labs sensor pad can “turn any bed into a ‘smart bed.’”
