The integration provides real-time location data directly within the computerized maintenance management system to reduce search times and streamline maintenance.
TrueSpot Health, a provider of real-time location systems (RTLS), and TruAsset, a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), announced an integration designed to streamline equipment tracking, maintenance workflows, and clinical response times in hospitals.
The integration allows TruAsset users to view real-time and historical equipment location data from the TrueSpot RTLS platform directly within the TruAsset CMMS interface. According to a press release, staff can use a secure location API to see the current location of tagged medical equipment and review its recent location history, which helps reduce search times and improve workflow efficiency.
“This integration bridges the gap between digital asset records and real-world equipment location,” says Mike Hanna, CEO of TrueSpot, in a release. “Hospitals now gain better data integrity through synchronized systems, streamlined workflow, and improved operational efficiency.”
Additionally, the partnership includes an inventory sync framework that imports asset records from TruAsset into the TrueSpot platform. This feature is designed to ensure data accuracy across both systems and support asset lifecycle management.
“TruAsset is committed to helping HTM and maintenance teams operate with accuracy and confidence,” says Jason Byers, CEO of TruAsset, in a release. “This integration with TrueSpot delivers real-time visibility that enhances productivity and supports better decision-making across the facility.”
The combined solution is in use at facilities like Willis Knighton Health. “By making real-time asset location data from TrueSpot directly accessible within TruAsset—and synchronizing equipment inventory between the two systems—we’ve improved workflows, reduced search times and equipment downtime, and enabled our teams to stay focused on patient care rather than tracking down assets,” says Mark Galea, CIO of Willis Knighton Health, in a release.
The companies state that the unified solution gives healthcare organizations access to maintenance history, asset data, and live location insights to support compliance and patient care readiness.
