In preparation for its annual meeting next year,  the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) has issued a call for proposals to present papers at the event. The deadline for proposals is June 16.

HIMSS states that the proposals “should demonstrate a case study approach on the adoption and optimal use of health information technology and management systems.” The proposals will also be expected to reflect elements of the organization’s Health IT Value Suite, a system for validating the success of healthcare IT investments.

HIMSS is simultaneously seeking qualified reviewers “to select from the submissions received during the call for proposals.” Reviewers are expected not only to review submissions, but also to “serve as mentors to the speakers throughout the life cycle of each presentation.” The deadline to apply as a reviewer is also June 16.

For more information, visit the HIMSS call for proposals and call for reviewers web pages. The HIMSS15 annual conference will take place April 12–16, 2015, in Chicago.
