Three of the nation’s top hospital Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) have created a new pulse CO-oximetry category of products to make it easier and quicker to purchase patient monitoring devices.
The three GPOs, Novation, MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, and Amerinet, also extended their multi-year supplier agreements with Masimo, Irvine, Calif, to license its SET pulse oximetry and Rainbow SET pulse CO-oximetry noninvasive monitoring products.
Masimo SET technology allows clinicians to accurately monitor and measure blood oxygen saturation and other blood constituents in critical care situations, as well as helping to predict fluid responsiveness in patients previously requiring invasive procedures.
